Hurunui Jacks Grand Deck Transformation

Nestled in the stunning surroundings of Hurunui Jacks, this deck renovation project was all about creating a safe, functional, and visually striking outdoor space that could withstand the unpredictable West Coast weather.

The Challenge

The existing deck had seen better days. It was well past its prime, with steep stairs that weren’t the safest and timber that had taken a beating from the elements. The goal was to transform it into a sturdy, long-lasting structure that complemented the natural beauty of the location and provided a welcoming area for guests to relax and unwind.

The Approach

We worked closely with the owners to redesign the layout, focusing on enhancing safety and usability while maintaining a seamless look with the surrounding environment. The stairs were completely reworked to ensure safer, easier access, and the deck structure was fortified with quality materials designed to withstand the elements.

Despite some challenging West Coast weather, the team pulled together to deliver a result we’re incredibly proud of. The end product not only fits the natural aesthetic of Hurunui Jacks but also provides a comfortable and practical outdoor space for guests.
